What is VDWS SafetyTool?
Things can go wrong on the water: a rented board gets damaged, someone is injured or another person’s property is affected. VDWS SafetyTool is made for these situations. Depending on the option, it combines liability, accident and equipment damage cover.
The regular SafetyTool is a good fit if you rent equipment. SafetyTool PLUS can also cover your own gear and family members. You apply directly through VDWS.

Which sports are included?
Windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, sailing, stand-up paddling, kayaking, rowing, surfing and snowkiting are included. VDWS provides the full list, including details for other craft and drives.
